i liked nn's online help system, and some ideas in
the interface.  and the idea that nn was designed
for *offline* reading right fom the start.  and..

i think i once posted a comparison on usenet - but
i dont have it online any more.  anyway - who cares?

thanks for the offer! :)

the basic idea of the think tank is to let it happen at
a place where everyone can to most easily within europe.
and for now the place will be mallorca.

unfortunately, there are not many people on mallorca
who are into free software.  so our "man in mallorca"
has a hard time to set up an organizational group.

we planned for autumn 2008 - but.. we'll see.

well, i had been waiting for the utf-8 thing and
also for attachments and stuff for years now.
meanwhile i just don't hold my breath anymore.
why bother?  even though thousands of people
would want it, there is no rush with the
development of open source software, right?

i see a lot of patches floating around -
just like with mutt.   and all we need
to do is collect the patches and offer
them again and again and again... well -
"been there, done that, got the tshirt."

patience is a virtue, right?!

i wonder when the folks will meet to push it forward...
