Uhh, my fault, i set also SLSH_PATH and SLSH_CONF_DIR which is not needed.
For example:
set SLSH_PATH=C:\sys\slsh\ (or c:\sys\slsh\bin)
C:\sys\slsh\bin>slsh
Unable to locate autoload.sl on load path
Traceback: evalfile
c:\\sys\\slsh\\etc\slsh.rc:43:<top-level>:Open failed

Autoload.sl is in C:\sys\slsh\share\slsh\

NULL and 1. On both machines. Hurrah.
