I can only tell you the changes that were made with respect to the CVS
version when I took over about six months ago. Those changes are
listed in the changes.txt file.

As far as roadmap goes, I do not have a anything definitive. When I
took over last fall, my main goal for 0.9.9 was to fix the bugs and
provide transparent support for UTF-8. Based upon the declining
frequency of bug reports, I believe that that goal has been met.

For 1.0 things are less clear. I intend to integrate the various
patches that are floating around and better integrate slang into the
newsreader. I do not know when 1.0 will become available, nor do I
know when I will start working on it. The most important thing to me
is to provide the user with dependable bug-free software-- the version
number attached to that is not important.

Thanks,
