bug: broken highlighting of multibyte characters

Hi,

I run slrn with LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8. When leaving slrn, the prompt in the
message line looks strange:

Вы действительно хотите выйти? [<D0><94>]а, <D0><9D>ет
                                ^^^^^^^^    ^^^^^^^^
