There's some trailing whitespace in your patch.

Otherwise, I agree that your additions would be useful for many users, but in 
fact slrn nowadays supports 256 colours, not 16, if 256 colours are 
available - i.e. you can also use numbers from 16 to 255, not only 0 to 15.
