Until this gets resolved, I beleive that it is a lien against the
upcoming release.  Please try the latest version in the repository,
which adds support for 64 bit server numbers.  If you compile a win32
version, you will probably need to define HAVE_LONG_LONG in
src/slrnconf.h.  Then if you run `slrn --version`, it should show
something like:
 
    .
    .
 Using 64 bit integers for article numbers.
    .
    .
