Packages for CentOS 5 / RHEL 5 are available under

<http://people.centos.org/ralph/packages/>

Warning 1: Those packages aren't signed, as my gpg key is too large for
RPM to handle.

Warning 2: The slrn packages there need the canlock-2b packages which
are available at the same url.

The easiest way to install slrn from there is to use the ralph.repo file
(copy it to /etc/yum.repos.d/ralph.repo) and install the slrn version
via yum. If you have the priorities package in place you need to give
that repo the same priority as you have given [base] and [updates] (in
case of CentOS 5) by adding a line

priority=1 # for example, must be the same as base/updates

to ralph.repo

After that installing slrn is just a "yum --enablerepo=ralph install
slrn" away.

Please leave (especially positive) feedback at

for enough people, I'd like to include it in the centosplus repository:
