32 bit integers for article numbers: windows

Hi,

Just to follow up a post on news.software.readers I see that the
windows slrn (current svn) reports 32 bit article numbering:

while the linux version reports 64. I am not clear how much hot air is
in the 32/64 article numbering talk precipitated by this article:

and I am not completely convinced that I have _not_ made an error in
compiling slrn :-).
