I subscribe to a *lot* of "announce" mailing lists and find them useful even if they receive hardly any posts. For the same reason, announcements posted in news.software.readers could also usefully be crossposted or multiposted into news.admin.announce - but as one of the new moderators who are hoping to revitalise that group perhaps I'm biased. > A somewhat related question: Any thoughts about migrating the > development to something like github? You could migrate servers without changing the version control software. I've used the site in the past (when I was p[eripherally involved with the Wesnoth project), and found it to be about as good as Sourceforge was before they "improved" Sourceforge by making it almost impossible to find anything. If the code repository leaves Sourceforge, I expect that the Web site and mailing lists will have to leave too. If so, I suggest asking Sven G for permission to take over slrn.org.
