I'm currently using your pre1.0.0-16/mm/ao, but I've just upgraded
Ubuntu to maverick, which offers 1.0.0~pre18-1 --- should I switch to
the Ubuntu version?

What does the multipart patch do?  I'm not sure if I need it or not.
