Not immediately, but ofcourse people sync. When I start reading news, I
do a snget, and after I post, I run it again. So for me, it's always
manual.

Even if you get it all to work so that a post is forwarded to the
upstream server immediately, that doesn't mean you'll get it back
immediately as well. 

The whole nature of usenet is that not everything happens immediately.
Maybe it's for the best for usenet at large when your users learn that
quite soon?
