pid 9952 (spread), uid 1500: exited on signal 6

Hi all,

I'm getting this message in my syslog when running Spread in production.
Does anyone have any insights into why Spread might be triggering
SIGABORT, and how to best diagnose and fix it?

Environment: FreeBSD 8.1, amd64, 4GB RAM, Core 2 Duo.

Some fairly large messages are being transmitted (~100KB), but there is
only one (yes, one) client on this network at present, and the Spread
client is connecting to localhost.
