Hi Daniel,

Thank you for getting back to me.  Yes, it is 64-bit Spread.  I had
previously patched only these bits:

I have now included your complete patchset in our build, I will leave it
in production now and see if it helps.  Since it became a problem when
message sizes grew, I suspect that the patch might help.

It would be great if someone could roll a release which includes this
fix -- most of the world is on 64-bit now ;-)
