Is it ok to run agents on such content (i.e. daypop has a search, Mark has his difference engine, some O'reilly feeds seem to simply be syndicated aggregates of other feeds)? Very little content is actually syndicated (i.e. published, gathered by an intermediary, and then republished), maybe the syndication model is not what the world needs -- maybe its publish-subscribe? Many web sites, like http://tinyurl.com/gm3s, forbid syndication in their terms of use. However, they don't publish RSS or echo feeds.
