hrm...let me try...

We implemented the Blogger/MetaWeblog APIs and plan to also implement 
the ATOM API once we start to see regular drafts come out of the IETF 
process. Its a gradual approach that gets us a high degree of client 
support today and ultimate compliance with whatever the eventual 
standard is. Our customers love it because it gives them short-term 
functionality coupled with long term certainty.
