Heh, I should have looked ahead a bit before my last post... If you use the "RDF/XML-ABBREV" option in Jena's serializer (see [1]) you get something a lot closer to RSS 1.0. I'm reasonably sure that totally constrained RSS 1.0 output is possible from Jena, but you might have to get a bit hacky with things like the order in which you create statements. Cheers, Danny.
