I wanted to take a feed from their UK Politics section of the newsblog 
but they only have a single feed
http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/news/index.rdf
for all category sections. What they do have is <dc:subject>UK 
politics</dc:subject> but now I need a <dc:subject> aware reader.

this is all for http://www.voidstar.com/ukpoliblog/index.php and I don't 
really want to have to build a special purpose bit of code just for 
them.

This is what happens when sites start to unilaterally extend the 
standard. At least this time they've used an existing namespace.

Even if you use a real RDF parser and an inference engine, the need to 
build actual applications means each extension like this has to fight 
for mind-share among aggregator writers.
