Re: Would an Atom-RDF mapping be useful?

This will come as a surprise :) but yes, a mapping would almost 
certainly be useful.

The swed portal (http://www.swed.org.uk) can be (and is being, after a 
fashion) used as a consumer of 'semantic blog' items, an aggregator of 
snippets if you will. Encoding these as RDF allows:
- additional information to be added to the feed at source (foaf 
profiles, bibliographic information...)
  - syndicated data to be integrated with data both local to the portal 
and on the wider web (topic merging, links to services like del.icio.us)

Maybe this could be done with Atom 'raw', I don't know. But I do know 
how to work with it in RDF.
