There's many issues of concern as you know. I think one of which
that I compulsively responded to with comments was related to
malformed XML and its related circumstances. 

The most immediate concern to me however would be learning 
'best practice' methodologies to develop a web-based aggregation 
service. There are plenty of documents about writing or consuming 
a 'feed' but few to none that document how to host and manage XML 
intended to be used for syndication.
