I haven't got access to a random sample, but as next best thing
there's Technorati's Top 100. I visited the top 5 sites and had a look
what they were syndicating:

   1. BoingBoing - RSS 1.0
   2. Instapundit - "Funky" RSS 2.0 (contains namespaced elements
normally associated with RSS 1.0)
   3. Daily KOS - supports RSS 1.0, 2.0 and Atom
   4. Gizmodo - "Funky" RSS 2.0 and Atom
   5. Davenetics - RSS 1.0
