I'm not going to try to complicate matters for you guys on this, but
of
course, as a Yahoo! engineer working on Media RSS, I'd love for you
to
give your stamp of approval on it. Version 1.0 has been delayed for
various reasons (such as translating to other languages) but we're
going to start seeing some major momentum in this area out of Yahoo!.
As someone else stated, adoption will be the key. And we are aware of
that.
Porting to RSS 1.0/RDF should be soon after some help from core
contributors.
Media RSS is definitely "media" centric - hence the name - but I tend
to think of everything as media.

We're working on it. Hopefully you guys see that Yahoo is making
commitments in this arena.

I think we've been fairly "open" about the changes thus far. While
not
being administered by an outside group (yet), I certainly feel that
we've done our best to take everyone's suggestions and apply them.
