Yeah, My Yahoo! displays items in the order they were listed in the
feed,  not sorted by timestamp.  Many of the most popular subscribed
feeds on My Yahoo! are from large news publishers who put in extra
work to prioritize the top stories and we found it degraded the user
experience when we tried sorting chronologically... the London
bombings were still a bigger story than anything that happend later
that day.

And people who want items to display chronologically can always order
their feed that way.
