Hey Ralph,
Has RSS ever really had an extension?!
Well other than .xml.
Usually, when being served off the web, I see it without any kind of
extension at all. (Other than things like .php, .asp, or .jsp...
which have nothing to do with RSS at all.)
I've seen some people do .rss. (I've even done that on one caching
system I developed.) But AFAIK, it's rare.
So... I suppose it could be .xml. (Which follows the convention of
making file extensions totally useless where XML is concerned... which
may be OK if you're on the side of "HTTP Content Types" should specify
types... and not extensions.)
Or is could be .vrss or .videorss. But yeah... I know... neither of
them are DOS 8.3 compatible. Which is bad since I was bugging you
about .flac :-)
Could even make it generic and call it .videofeed.
But... if I had to pick, I'd probably say... .vrss in general, and
.vrs for DOS 8.3.
See ya
