I've seen exactly this problem some time in the (fairly) distant past.
I also managed to fix it, the only problem is that I can't remember
how I fixed it.  I'll have a dig through my mail archives and see if I
can come up with anything.

My first feeling is that maybe an upgrade of tin fixed it for me.
