[newbie] searching way to use tin as offline reader

Hello tin users, as the subject says it, I'm searching for a simple way
to use tin as an offline reader. 

I'm a bit confused about the possibilities thath I have found, e.g.
using leafnode (but I dont want an news-server) or suck (but seems to
me I need for suck INN, another news server). I just want a programm
which download news in a spool dir and remove old news, so that I can
use tin with it (like slrnpull, but seems that I have to install the
news reader slrn for this).

But I'm wondering if tin also can do this alone, but havent found a way
to do it.
