Linux adjustments begin...

Hi Team,

Well I was able to beat up the code in WSL last night and made some
progress, but it's going to be some time before things build cleanly
on Linux due to the old habits in this code.  I think I'm going to
create a github workflow for the Windows build so I don't accidentally
break that while I work on fixing the errors while building under
WSL/Linux with cmake/vcpkg.

It's probably a good time to nail down a specific revision of vcpkg
being used as well since they just switched the boost dependency to
1.82 from 1.81.  This will most likely be done with a git submodule
attached to a specific hash for vcpkg.

I didn't realize that gtty/stty system calls weren't implemented in
linux :).  More joy to follow...
