Thanks Alex.  But, duh, what I meant to say was that I am using 2.4.18-5 
(*not* 2.2.18-5...not sure there is even such an animal).

Anyway, I am pretty certain that I now know which kernel version I am 
using, so, armed with my new found knowledge, I will repeat my question: 
how do I know if I need to apply the tux2-full-2.4.18-final-A3 patch to 
the 2.4.18-5 kernel?
