use mode 3 virtual  (I think)

/var/www/1.2.3.4/domain1.com
/var/www/1.2.3.4/domain1.co.uk

in the user side, set up symlinks to point to the 'real' location.

tux cannot follow symlinks or hardlinks (if I recall)

you might be able to get away with mode 2 virtual and just do

/var/www/domain1.com
/var/www/domain1.co.uk

and set up symlinks in /home/htdocs/hosted/domain1/domain1.co.uk to
point to /var/www/domain1.co.uk
