Re: CRC errors, retrying damaged files

has there been any inquiry as to why the files arrive corrupted?
i'm currently using external yydecode to do the decoding, and a good 
number of articles do not get decoded for one reason or another. is 
it something found to be wrong with ubh, or do they get posted that 
way? there have been a few examples where the article failed to be 
decoded, but when going in with my newsreader i could get it just 
fine. i've read that yEnc format is terrible and prone to have 
errors, but this is way too many misses to blame it on the posters. 
anybody else has any takes on this?
also, what are people here using for decoders? i personally found 
yydecode to be satisfactory, but have a feeling there might be 
something better out there. any ideas?
