I saw something similar happen when during the update it updated
rhn_register and wiped out my RHNS-CA-CERT file with the Red Hat one.

You might double check that you didn't accidentally update rhn_register and
now your certificate got overwritten.

I now get this error whenever I try to connect to server
(rhn_register, up2date makes no difference)
