automatic package add

Hi,
I'm working with the current server for some time now. It does
a really great job.

But there are some questions open.

Can I add a complete new package on a client without telling 
up2date the package name. I'm looking for a way to provide
a client a complete new packages with this.

What exactly is the parameter xrpm_dirs in the config file. I've read
almost every posting in the mailing list archive und the complete documentation but I've found nothing.
