Hi,
when i ran rhn_register, it gave me this error:
A socket error occured: (104, 'Connection reset by peer'), attempt #1
A socket error occured: (0, 'Error'), attempt #2
A socket error occured: (0, 'Error'), attempt #3

Apache error log:

then i started debugging.
the error ocurred when opening the *.wdb files in channel.py in open(),
i was placing some log() call's around that function and noticed that
one ocasion it started working.
So i removed all the log() calls, cleaned up the .pyc (who knows ...)
and ran rhn_register. no errors at all (still dunno what changed).
up2date -l has no errors (but then i had no packages to update, gonna
try that later)
up2date --showall gives me this error:
(up2date gives the error not current)

- about the 1.3.12 and after, i'll wait, if you guys need a hand in
something (except documentation, yes, i hate to write docs too) i'll be
glad to.

hehe, let's make a trade, i'll teach you guys perl, and you guys teach
me python :) *kidding*.
Maybe i can think of some utils in perl that can work all together.
