For feature requests and bug reports RC15 RC16. Please use the forum at http://forum.ultravnc.net/ Replying to both replies... Is the firewall on? What brand of anti-virus & firewall is runnning? I'll reply with details on specifics on the product they may use when I have them (I'm not the front line guy), but does it matter? It's a genuine question. I believe our support guy got them to disable their firewall (the one built in XP). And in any case, I was able to have VNC working fully with my XP Pro machine with firewall enabled with no exception (on my PC controlling the other station, the one running the VNC client). The controlled machine runs XP Embedded and is pre-configured with firewall letting port 5900 through. That has been working fine for us so far. So in facts, the firewall setting of the controlling machine didn't seem to make any difference for me. It always worked. As for the controlled machine, the user has no (easy) way to change it. It comes pre-configured by me in a way that "works". The only thing I could think of, is an anti-spying software that would cut communication on the VNC port after it is established. Any idea?
