For feature requests and bug reports RC15 RC16. Please use the forum at http://forum.ultravnc.net/ I need some help with UltraVNC. I have the server running on my desktop PC (WinXP Home) at home. When I connect my laptop (XP Pro) to the network I can use all the features of VNC. Problem # 1. When I connect from a remote location with the same laptop over the Internet using OpenVPN, I can't do file transfers. The error message is "File Transfer permission denied: disabled or unknown user or version incompatibility". Problem # 2. Even when connected to the LAN directly, the file transfer window does not show all of the directories. For example if I go to C:\, I should see "Program Files" but I don't. Problem # 3. When a non-admin user is on the desktop PC, and I try to connect to the server to view it (doesn't matter if on the LAN or WAN), the VNC viewer crashes with no error message, and the user on the server gets logged out. I'm using release 1.0 on both the server and client. ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf
