Thanks to our newest member, Pete, we're finally starting to get some momentum going. I went over to Pete's today and we did some testing from his roof in Harbor Bay, and as you can see, it's quite a view: http://wirelessanarchy.com/aw/AW-Pete-Panorama.jpg Armed with a Linux laptop running Kismet, a Senao 100mW card, a homemade cantenna, and a commercial 24dBi, we picked up 212 networks from his roof! We started out with the cantenna and easily picked up several Alameda nodes on the main island, and then we moved to the 24dBi and tried to hit BARWN on San Bruno, but no luck there for some reason. As we slowly sweeped to the right, we had no problem picking up several SFLAN nodes, including sflan12, sflan14_a, sflan3, and sflan11. We also had strong signals when pointing in the Oakland/Berkley direction to DarkerSun-Touchless, and DarkerSun-Westmoorland.
