I have a better method for triangulation of a rogue access point. There 
is a product
available that is called the WiFi Seeker, that detects the presence of 
a WiFi or
wireless transceiver, and will give you the strength of the signal, and 
is held
in your hand.

It is highly directional, and I have found dozens of physical hotspots 
using this
device.
