/dev/ugen0 is not a serial device, it's a "generic" usb device (ie, no
driver)
You need a set of patches that implement ucom. I had a heck of a time
finding this patch, but it is around out there. I'll see if I can dig
it up.

You can't run dstumbler and gpsd at the same time (they both want
exclusive control of the serial port), without patching dstumbler to
understand gpsd.
