Re: airport exteme w/ host ap

Cliff and I sat down briefly tonight to attempt to debug this.  Cliff is 
using an Airport Extreme card (00:03:93 with stock ver? f/w), the BSD 
HostAP in question is Prism2.5 STA 1.4.9, -STABLE from a few months ago 
(00:90:4b, post Cisco STA support, prior to Sam's major re-suffle).

It would appear that during the association process, that the first two 
bytes of the HostAP MAC address become random.  This isn't true for 
management beacon's, but once the STA attempts to do an actual association, 
the funkyness begins...

A debug log is available (in prism2dump -v 2 format, from the 
net/bsd-airtools port)

Cliff's MAC last two bytes have been masked for his future Wa..blah

One thought, how does the HostAP mode driver respond to STA's advertising 
bitrates besides standard 11b ones (ie: wihap_check_rates in wi_hostap.c)? 
What additional debugging would be useful?

P.S. I assume this issue is also applies to other Broadcom 11g-based 
products (ie: Linksys Extreme-G, etc.).
