I agree with Don's requirements, and I also agree that Michael
qualifies.  Having come into contact with the press recently, I can
understand the desire to be "in on the conversation", to get a sense
of where the reporter is coming from.  As long as the press liaison
liaises with the leadership (<self-deprecation>such as it is</>) and
membership as well as the press, then everything is happy.

I vote for Michael.
