please forgive my being cautious, i  think its important to have a
working relationship with whoever fills that position.

while its true that my job has taken me out of state for a while, i am
trying to emphasize the importance of communication in this particular
role since it uniquely represents the membership. its also a reminder
to me to renew my communication with the board of advisors.
