Be aware that there is a problem with some Broadcom chipsets and the 
mac80211 driver.

The new driver needs the version 4 firmware.  Some versions of the chipset 
do not have enough memory to load the version 4 firmware and are stuck 
with version 3.

Even more fun is that you cannot tell which one is which by the pci ids.

I can get you a revision number of a chipset with the problem when I have 
my laptop in front of me.
