Yeah, that works too.  You'd need three nics, one for upstream, one
for each of two access points, but that is relatively trivial, since
these boxes are plentiful (we've got more than we are using and we can
get more as needed from FreeGeek, I think).  

The downside of this kind of configuration is the maintenance burden
that keeping them running on a massive scale would represent.  Imagine
10% penetration, which would pencil out to about 250 PTP nodes per
square mile.  Also the size, noise and power requirements are suboptimal.
As for funding cheaper AP's, that'll work on a small scale too, but
our bank account, at least at the present time, is rather limited.
