my explanation of the success of starting personal telco in 2000/2001
was a perfect storm of three things: the cost of 802.11 gear entering
the range of hobbyists, a charismatic leader, and the invention of the
wiki.

i came across wagn.org which claims to be a new kind of collaborative
knowledge management. if a wiki builds a set of hyperlinked documents,
a wagn builds a relational database.

apparently, our friends at the meyer memorial trust are using it for
their own purposes. so im mentioning it here to get people to take a
look at it and see if it could be useful for this group.
