Any chance the UWMC BB Tower can see NodeDexter? Memory tells me that the shot would be through I5, but what's a little RF between home and work. It would be nice to have another uplink, while at the same time offering UW students access from Gasworks. I'm tempted to see if we can do it in the 5.8ghz range. -Joe -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Chris DeVoney Sent: Monday, May 16, 2005 10:06 AM To: SeattleWireless Development List Subject: RE: Bank of America Tower At 09:31 AM 5/16/2005, Casey Halverson wrote: >Please don't take this the wrong way, but we have had countless "How >about X building" and "Has anyone thought of putting something on Y >building" conversations on this list. However, some are straying from the trail. Forgive the comment, but my message was an inquiry to a subject that had been discussed before, the effort to plant an antenna on the UWMC BB Tower. My question, since the monthly meeting have been abandoned, was to extract any information on the effort since I am in a position to spur action. The effort to work with the university on such a project, given their commitment to having a complete wireless campus within three years, would still be substantial. Therefore going off half-cock without benefit of previous effort and knowledge, or potentially duplicating previous effort, would be ill-advised. However if you believe that such exchange of information is not desired, please confirm my understanding. With your encouragement, my thinking is that the spirit of volunteerism within this group will be as strong on day 18,250 as it has grown today. cdv _______________________________________________ Dev mailing list [email protected] http://seattlewireless.net/mailman/listinfo/dev _______________________________________________ Dev mailing list [email protected] http://seattlewireless.net/mailman/listinfo/dev
