I don't know about you, but I don't want hundreds of "click here for me to get your email" notifications because I've decided to post to a public list. Additionally, spamming in order to stop spam (if you're confused as to why a C/R system is spam, keep in mind that spam isn't inherently commercial in nature) doesn't make much sense. In fact, many people consider it quite hypocritical. And what about all the spam you get that has an innocent person's email address? Have you been on the receiving end of hundreds of C/R emails because one of your domains was used to send spam out? And please explain how an automated response makes someone feel like they aren't being ignored.
