Is it possible to detect 802.11x cards in promiscuous mode? In theory the answer is "no" because the cards would just be "listening" to all packets on a channel. But in reality, do any of the cards change behavior in a detectable way when in promiscuous mode? I was just curious because I seem to recall that there is a way to detect 10/100 ethernet nics in promiscuous mode on a LAN.
