I think i read that same article. Anyone buy one of these, & have
success getting their dough? I always get cautious & send in my rebate
w/delivery confirmation or what have you.
	I have a love/hate relationdhip w/compusa, I love their range of
products(Have you seen those gonzo 7db Linksys omni antennas, Comp's
got their own brand which are these crazy 9db omnis, you'll have to put
a bible on top of your WRT54G to keep it in the horizontal) but hate
them patting me down on the way out & the "we don't give a frig vibe".
I've been in there & some alarm attached to a PDA or whatever went off.
No one did anything about it for at least 10 minutes, I would swear it
was more, but don't want to sound like I'm exaggerating.
I was in there last week they had 512mb PC2700 SODIMM, PNY memory for
$89.99 w/an instant rebate plus, of course, some mail in rebate. I was
down with half a gig of RAM for about $50 or less, later I check my
receipt & see that I was charged $119.99, the cashier had managed to
add $30 not subtract. And now that I think about last night I had a
coupon for $5 any purchase of $25 or more when they guy rang me up(I
was only getting the Belkin) after returning the aforementioned RAM, &
the cashier overwhelmed by the coupon rang me up the router twice. I
had too point out the mistake, otherwise I'm sure they would have let
me walk out of there. Sorry, now I'll have inadvertently started a
CompUSA nightmare thread. I just wanted to give a cautionary tale...
or two.
