I agree with Casey.  The cheapest and most reliable method for you to 
use will be hardwiring them into your network.

300' is the textbook max run length for ethernet, but that doesn't mean 
the signal will not travel along the cable further than that.  
Personally, I have not tried anything much beyond 300', but my advice 
would be to try it.  You can probably pick up a 1000' spool of outdoor 
cat5 for about $100.

If it doesn't work, you can put a hub in the middle to repeat the 
signal.  NYC wireless has an article (http://www.nycwireless.net/poe/) 
that you could adapt to figure out how to rig up your own PoE if you 
don't already know how.

The only problems would be someone running over your cable with the 
lawnmower, or clearing the empty lot in between the two of you (assuming 
you don't own it).  It ought to make a fun Saturday project, I say go 
for it.
