Re: Off topic - personal problem in VT

I've been watching this thread for a while since I have a similar
circumstance (2 buildings with LOS pseudo blocked by trees, and >500 feet
apart).

Right now, I got the best LOS I could and use a pair of "cantennas" to get a
decent wireless link. It is at the "tolerable" level of performance.

I'm now looking to go ahead and bury fiber and use it (probably with a pair
of linksys EF-3124 + fiber expansion cards). total equipment cost should be
around $500, and will provide a killer link (now and for the future).
