I just look at Broadvoice and while they do have the best deal at $10/month
for unlimited in-state calling, they currently do not support number
portability.  This means I would not be able to transfer my landline phone
number to their service.  One review I saw also mentioned this and said the
E911 features were not complete.  If they could do number portability, I
could get rid of a ~$30/month basic+caller ID plan that is currently on the
line, replacing it with the Broadvoice $10/month plan.

Unfortunately for us in the states, that phone is a DECT phone.  DECT
phones run in the 1.9 ghz band, and I figure they'd be cause problems with
PCS services also running at 1.9 ghz.  Maybe if you live in rural America
nobody'd notice as Sprint certainly doesn't cover outlying areas very well.

Finally, if anyone does a lot of modem calling, they may not want to use a
VOIP line as modem performance will likely suffer (low connect rates).
This is both my own opinion and from evidence from several postings on the
Vonage forums and Google groups.
